April 20, 2024 feels so close.
Trying out for my 3rd Olympic team in less than two weeks! 

This quad has been a different beast. An Olympic postponement cut into years of prep. I walked away with a silver from the 2020 Olympics, conflicted. With no time to cope, I threw myself into World Championships a few months later, securing my historic 6th World title. One month later, I shifted focus and started a family - yeah, TWINS! I rushed back before my body was at its peak but still squeaked out another World Team spot. Qualified teamusa for the paris2024 with a World Championship bronze. 
I've been working hard on the mat, willing to be vulnerable and address weaknesses I've avoided for years. The weight room gains are real - seeing the numbers on the scale and the dumbbells I can lift is gratifying. Even with snotty babies running the show, I've stayed remarkably healthy with minimal colds or illnesses. Physically and mentally, I'm in good shape with no major injuries slowing me down. My 33-year-old athlete's body is more capable than when I was 22. I trust my training and feel good about the work I've put in. The peace I have felt post training camps has been drastically different from years past. I know I have done what I can to make another Olympic team. A few more short workouts and I'll be at another usawrestling Olympic Trials Final giving it my all for the privilege of being on Team USA and going to the party that will be the 2024 Paris Olympics.
