Civil rights attorney #BenCrump, who represents Reed’s family, confirmed that Kaepernick’s “Know Your Rights Camp Autopsy Initiative” will cover the costs, per WJTV.

According to the Cleveland Police Department, an autopsy by the Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Reed’s death a suicide. The 21-year-old was found hanging from a tree near the pickleball courts at Delta State University on the morning of Sept. 15.
