The third week of September is #consentawarenessweek - a national campaign for education and action around consent!

Why does it matter?
🚨The Red Zone is the first 6 weeks of the academic year, a period when students face increased risks of sexual violence on campus

It can happen to anyone -
71% of students at Canadian post-secondary schools witnessed or experienced unwanted sexualized behaviours in a post-secondary setting (Statistics Canada, 2020)

What can you do about it?
Become an ally against sexual violence! Join our Consent is Key campaign and participate in events on and off campus this week.

September 15 - complete the Preventing Sexual Violence Learning Modules by Sept 30th for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card

September 18 - join the virtual conversation with Cheyenne Tyler Jacobs 🚩It’s giving red flags 🚩

September 18 - stop by the Market Square in St. Catharines to learn more about sexual violence supports in the community and participate in a candlelight walk around downtown

September 19 - males and male-identifying students are invited to a workshop hosted by whiteribboncanada to learn more about reframing healthy masculinities, understanding root causes of violence and how to be an ally and prevent gender-based violence
