Colic surgery ≠ jumping career over. 

A 10-year study found 68% of warmblood hunters and jumpers returned to competition, and many came back just as strong (or stronger!) than before. Performance stayed steady, with age and lesion type being the biggest factors in recovery.

Colic is serious, but it doesn’t always mean the end of your horse’s show career.
