A 16-month-old boy was admitted to hospital after falling from a fourth-floor balcony in Palghar and suffering serious injuries. The ambulance taking him to a specialized Mumbai hospital got stuck in a massive traffic jam on Thane's Ghodbunder Road due to ongoing repair work and road closure. The ambulance had to divert to a closer hospital where the child was declared dead on arrival. This incident has sparked anger over poor traffic management and calls for better emergency vehicle corridors.
