Clayton Kershaw pitched the final regular-season home game of his 18-year career with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, after announcing he will retire at the end of this season. 💪⁣

Kershaw’s longtime warmup song, “We Are Young” by Fun, blared as fans greeted him with a standing ovation for his last regular-season start at Dodger Stadium. After 4 1/3 innings, Kershaw left with the Dodgers trailing 2–1. He allowed two runs on four hits, struck out six, and walked four in 91 pitches, 56 for strikes. 🔥⁣

The defending World Series champion Dodgers rallied for a 6–3 victory to clinch their 13th consecutive postseason berth. After the game, Kershaw, alongside his children, collected the pitching rubber as a keepsake from his final season. 🥺⁣

The 37-year-old will likely end up a Hall of Famer. With two World Series titles, three Cy Young Awards, and the 2014 NL MVP Award Kershaw has left his mark on the game.
