A number of WWE fans have recently been asking about the status of former United States Champion Jacob Fatu, who has been largely absent from WWE television since early August of this year. His disappearance from programming followed a year that saw him rise to championship status before receding from major storylines.

Jacob Fatu’s 2025 began with a significant singles push that culminated in him winning the United States Championship from LA Knight at WrestleMania. His on-screen momentum continued through the following months, which included a storyline turn against The Bloodline and Solo Sikoa at the Money in the Bank premium live event.

Fatu’s on-screen trajectory shifted following that point in his story. He lost the United States Championship back to Solo Sikoa at the Night of Champions event after interference from other members of The Bloodline. His last appearance on a premium live event was at SummerSlam in early August, where he was unsuccessful in his attempt to regain the championship from Sikoa in a steel cage match.

Since that loss at SummerSlam, Jacob Fatu has not been featured in a prominent role on WWE television. While he has reportedly competed in several non-televised “dark” matches after SmackDown tapings and has appeared at live events, his last televised match was several weeks ago. The reasons for his absence from weekly programming have not been addressed by WWE.
