Hey everyone! My name is Lilly and I am a senior in COM and a member of the creative team that runs this Instagram account! 

This past summer was very exciting for me because I got to spend it in Chicago working at a video production company!

I was able to learn so much working as a pre-production/scheduling and production intern. Over the course of 10 weeks, I made call sheets for shoots, prepped the studio for clients, organized company communications, gathered critical information for different projects, and assisted management through various tasks. I was also entrusted to join different pre-production meetings and calls with clients, shadow key employees within the company, and assist on different shoots. Contributing to all stages of production provided unique insight into the industry, fueling my love for creativity and media production.

My education in communication media was immensely helpful throughout this novel experience. I’m also very grateful that NC State introduced me to ArtBound Initiative (artboundinitiative), an organization that helps students get internships in creative fields. I will always look back at my time spent in Chicago with gratitude for the growth, exploration, and fun!
