To curb the spread of Lyme disease, scientists are targeting an unexpected culprit: wild mice. Mice are the main carriers of the Lyme bacteria. 🐁 Mice pass the disease along to ticks, which can then infect humans. By gene-editing mice to be immune, ticks won’t get infected.
