Bruh when I tell you I thought to myself “I don’t think I can go on this stage and do this right now” - realizing you’re the only one with hairy legs, untanned and about to be on a stage in bright lights to have your body dissected for imperfections and you’ve willingly chose to do this to yourself is a little wild. But God sent a messenger (a fellow competitor) with 6 simple words “comparison is the thief of joy” and I was released instantly. I went on to win my class and over the next year I would rack up 8 class wins and 2 overall awards for Men’s Physique and find myself claiming top 5 at the national stage and at The Arnold that would set the my path for health and fitness being the core of my purpose. 6 simple words - thank you God.
