We are honored to welcome Elizabeth Parkinson elizparkdance, an original Joffrey Ballet principal dancer, Tony-nominated and Astaire Award–winning performer, to this year’s Legacy Week!⁠

Elizabeth’s extraordinary career spans the world’s most prestigious concert dance companies and Broadway stages, including Movin’ Out and Fosse. She works closely with The Verdon Fosse Legacy® verdonfosselegacy and now serves as a reconstructor for their repertory works, bringing historical choreography to life for a new generation of artists.⁠

As a Verdon Fosse Legacy® teacher, Elizabeth educates, coaches, and reconstructs Bob Fosse®’s repertoire, technique, style, vocabulary, and work ethic with the original intent and integrity.⁠
⁠
Currently the Director of MTI Concert Dance, Elizabeth is deeply involved in the reconstruction, preservation, and licensing of choreographic works, including those of Jerome Robbins. Her expertise ensures that choreographic masterpieces remain true to their origins while continuing to inspire dancers everywhere.⁠

Our Legacy Week starts Monday! A week dedicated to honoring where we have come from and the artists who shaped our story, and to inspiring the next generation to carry it forward.
