Parents: you can’t make greatness, but you can break it. Instead of focusing on directing the path, create an environment for your athlete that is encourages success. And if they aren’t doing what you want them to, you pressuring them to do it won’t make them go any farther in this sport than they already can. If anything, it’ll limit their progress.
