Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR is at it again, turning regular Fords into more capable machines— and now, it’s delivered the company’s most extreme Mustang of this generation yet. It’s called the 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5, and it costs a whopping $159,999.
 
You get a whole lot of performance and panache for your cash, though. RTR starts with a brand-new Mustang GT equipped with the Performance Pack and Recaro seats; it then slaps on a 3.0-liter Stage 2 Whipple supercharger system that bumps output to 870 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque. The extra power is heard through an RTR-specific Borla catback exhaust system. It should also handle better than a standard GT, thanks to RTR’s “Tactical Performance Suspension System.” Where the Spec 5’s price starts to make more sense is when you examine the exterior design, which is done largely in carbon fiber and composite panels.
