#AssataShakur the godmother to #TupacShakur has d-ed in #Cuba, according to her daughter.

Her daughter wrote on Facebook ... Assata “took her last earthly breath” Thursday afternoon, saying in part ... “words cannot describe the depth of loss that I am feeling at this time.”

The #Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs reportedly released a statement, confirming she d-ed in Havana of health complications and advanced age. 

In 1977, Assata was convicted of k-lling a #NewJersey state trooper during a sh--tout. She escaped prison in 1979 and fled to Cuba, where she was granted political asylum. She consistently maintained her innocence and became a symbol of resistance for many on the political left. 🕊️
