Typhoon Ragasa has now weakened. As cities are restoring from the aftermath, videos of people taking shelters in Shenzhen has been trending on social media. ⁣
⁣
Shenzhen provided 865 shelters before the typhoon’s landing, in order to protect workers from construction sites.⁣
⁣
Subways stations, gyms, schools and universities were transformed into temporary shelters, with food, water, medical treatment and entertainment provided. In some shelters, there were tents set up especially for women as well.⁣
