The Honourable Dr Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, founder of the Pocket Rocket Foundation, posed with scholarship recipient Celeecia McCleary of St Jago High (right) and Odenike Smith’s mother (left) at the Scholarship Awards Presentation held today at AC Hotel Kingston.

In a heartfelt address to students, Fraser-Pryce encouraged resilience and balance: “You’re going to have setbacks, life can be challenging, but if you have life there is hope. God has already given you what you need deep inside — find that purpose, know what you’re chasing.”

The sprint legend also reflected on being a recipient of grace herself and expressed pride in seeing past recipients, including 2018 awardee Leanna, rise to excellence.
