For the time being,  Feather Lite R will be sold exclusively with a Mud-Skipper 15hp (459cc) electric start engine that includes a mechanical gearbox.

In this video, we try to outline that the engine has reverse, not the surface drive kit.  This means that you will need to purchase the engine itself to get reverse with this surface drive.

In the video you’ll notice the changing from forward to neutral to reverse by using a lever that controls the mechanical gearbox. 

Each engine will include the gearbox 

The gearbox itself is part of the engine and in this case, with this product, you will need to buy both engine and surface drive kit together.  The Feather Lite R will NOT fit other engines!

This product will be offered in two separate packages, unassembled or assembled and ready to run

Approximate leadtime will depend on completion of testing and manufacturing, but we have estimated that they should be available at some point later in fall of this year

At the moment we estimate the unassembled cost of this 15hp surface drive to be approximately $2800-2900.  Please keep in mind that this is the cost of both the engine and the surface drive.

The ready to run version would cost approximately $500 more

Prices are subject to change, this is an estimate for the time being
