Korean restaurant ATOMIX (atomixnyc) in New York City just claimed the #1 spot on North America’s 50 Best Restaurants (theworlds50best ) 2025 🇰🇷🏆 — and also landed at #12 on the 2025 World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

Run by Korean chef-couple Junghyun “JP” Park and Ellia Park, Atomix has wowed diners with its 12-course tasting menu rooted in Korean tradition and layered with immersive storytelling. Their intimate setup, serving only a handful of guests per seating, creates a one-of-a-kind dining journey.

Standout dishes include tteok-galbi with chocolate & chopi and halibut with sea urchin & rice porridge, each paired with an explanatory card that shares the story behind it. Atomix already held 2 Michelin stars, and the restaurant is tucked inside a minimalist NoMad townhouse whose understated exterior belies the fine-dining experience within.

Before Atomix, the Parks launched Atoboy, and they also run NARO and Seoul Salon in NYC. Their win isn’t just personal — it’s a milestone for Korean cuisine on the global stage, proving how tradition fused with bold creativity can lead the continent’s dining scene. ✨
