I love this concept — it’s a great starting point to understand what’s required to make your deductions bulletproof. 

But let’s clear up a common point of confusion: 

🚫 The 100% meal deduction? 

That was a temporary rule. 

✅ Current law: Most business meals are now only 50% deductible — and only when there’s a legitimate business purpose. 

So what makes it legit in the eyes of the IRS? 

👉 Who was at the meal. 

👉 What business you discussed (the purpose). 

👉 When & where it happened. 

👉 Proof of payment. 

📌 Pro tip: 

If you want that deduction to stick in an audit — you need all five P’s: 

1️⃣ Place. 

2️⃣ Point in Time. 

3️⃣ Purchase amount + item. 

4️⃣ Person. 

5️⃣ Purpose.
