⚠️ The Tax Brackets Are Changing — Here’s What That Really Means: 

Yes, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) changed a lot — but here’s what most folks don’t realize: 

👉 It was passed through budget reconciliation. 

👉 That makes it temporary. 

👉 And it expires after 2025. 

Which means… the 22% tax bracket that some may be in today? 

Could jump to 25% in 2026 — unless something changes. 

Now here’s the plot twist: 

The current administration is already lobbying hard to make some of these cuts permanent. 

Especially the tax brackets. 

So what’s a business owner supposed to do? 

✅ Stay informed. 

✅ Act strategically. 

✅ And… read the fine print. 

You’ve probably seen viral headlines like: 

“TIPS AREN’T TAXABLE ANYMORE!” 

Let’s slow down. 

The actual draft that has passed in the House of Representatives says: 

💵 No income tax on cash tips up to $25,000. 

Some have argued that’s no benefit at all because most people don’t actually report their cash tips … that is, until you realize what cash tips actually means: 

🚫 It’s NOT just physical cash handed to you. 

It includes: 

• Credit card tips. 

• Tips collected by the employer. 

• Pooled tips shared with co-workers. 

There’s always nuance. 

That’s why I say — learn the rules of the game. 

Because when you know the rules, you can play to win.
