Today, we’ve been on the ground in all four nations, Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland, championing how National Lottery funding is transforming women’s rugby. 

Since 1994, over £170 million has been invested into grassroots rugby to create opportunities and change the game. 

🏉 England: at Reading Abbey RFC, funding has upgraded facilities and supported mums returning to rugby. 

🏉 Northern Ireland: at Enniskillen RFC support has helped produce players who’ve gone on to represent Ulster and Ireland. 

🏉 Wales: at Cardiff Quins RFC, funding has helped cement the club as a leader in women’s rugby. 

🏉 Scotland: at Bishopton RFC, investment is driving women’s rugby forward, with female coaches leading the way.
