This #VEDay80 offers a moment for the us to come together and honour the Second World War generation from across the UK and Commonwealth, paying tribute to their service through a series of national and local events and activities. 

As part of the commemorations, we’re highlighting Letters to Loved Ones, a partnership with dcmsgovuk and National Lottery funded imperialwarmuseums that invites people across the UK to share the heartfelt letters sent by Second World War relatives - from soldiers on the front line to families on the home front - offering a window into everyday life and resilience during the war.
