#TSRHealth—#PressPlay: Heads up, #Roomies, some ready-to-eat pasta meals from Walmart and Trader Joe’s contaminated with listeria has led to four deaths as well as 19 hospitalizations, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). ___________________________________ 
According to @nbcchicago USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) first issued a warning about Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara at Walmart last week. The product’s best-by dates are Sept. 22–Oct. 1.
On Friday, the USDA updated its alert to include Trader Joe’s Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettuccine Alfredo. The item is sold in 16-ounce plastic trays and has best-by dates of Sept. 20, Sept. 24, and Sept. 27. ___________________________________
Reports state that additional products may remain identified per the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. Although an official recall has not been issued, FreshRealm, a large food producer that distributed the products, advised Walmart to pull the meals from store shelves this week, which Walmart officials agreed to.
