It looks like the upcoming season of the hit Showtime series #TheChi will be the show’s final season. According to deadline, the show’s creator, #LenaWaithe, shared the decision ahead of production for the show’s eighth season.

Lena spoke out about the decision to end the show, and said, “After much reflection, we have made the decision to end The Chi with season 8. I know, for the sake of our story and our characters, it’s the right thing. I am committed to delivering a final season that our Chi Family deserves.”
