Teddy and I had a fantastic time trialing this weekend! Agility continues to be one of my (and Teddy’s!) biggest passions since starting together in Cincinnati. 🐕 

Not only did we double Q both days (Q = qualifying, meaning our runs were clean and under time), but we also placed in all four! Which in the 20” height is pretty cool, since we’re competing with some really speedy dogs 😎
It is such a fun and rewarding sport that welcomes people of all ages, dogs of all breeds, and all levels of experience; so if agility has ever interested you, google some training clubs in your city and go for it!

For those interested, I included the video of my favorite run of the four, as well as the course map we’re given so you can see what it looks like! We’re given about 8 minutes to walk the course as a group and decide how we’d like to do things, which can mean: how far we want to leave the dog at the startline; what kinds of crosses we’ll do throughout; places to accel and decel; places to call or give verbal cues; and of course, memorizing the sequence of obstacles!
