What would a trade package for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers look like? 🤔*SWIPE*

Between NBC Sports’ Peter King speculating that Jets’ Owner Woody Johnson would “happily” give up two 1st round picks for Rodgers and Joe Namath saying that he would unretire his NO.12 to get him on the team, Aaron Rodgers to the Jets has been picking up steam in the national media all week. AND to top it off, the Jets just hired former Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett this morning who was known to be close with Rodgers

The Jets are also one of the few teams who would make sense to submit a huge bid for the 39-year old QB as they are in the exclusive “A QB away from contending” club after showing potential last season despite horrible QB play from Zach Wilson. 

*In this deal the Packers get the Jets’ 2023 1st rounder (13th overall) as well as their 2024 1st rounder on the condition that Rodgers plays that extra season. This would offset the hesitation they may have from pulling the trigger on trading a haul for someone who could retire at the end of any given season and also give the Packers big NFL Draft ammunition in the process.

The Packers would also add 2021 2nd round pick Elijah Moore to their roster in this deal who was an elite NFL prospect less than two years ago but is in dire need of a change of scenery after a rough start in New York. This would be a cheap, high-upside addition to the Packers already young WR crops that still needs some help.

How would you feel about this hypothetical trade package?

Disclaimer: I am NOT saying that I hope the Packers trade Rodgers nor that I think that will happen. We don’t even know for certain if he’ll play football next year. This is merely a fun exercise to explore the many possibilities of this upcoming offseason as many questions loom.
