Kali Reis enters the world of Resident Evil. 🔥🧟‍♀️

The Seaconke Wampanoag and Cape Verdean star of True Detective: Night Country — who earned two 2024 Emmy nominations for her breakout performance — has officially joined the cast of Sony’s upcoming Resident Evil feature reboot, directed by Zach Cregger (Barbarian).

Reis will portray an ex-military character originally written for a male lead — marking a bold step for Indigenous and Two-Spirit visibility in one of entertainment’s most iconic horror franchises.

Filming begins this month in Prague. The film is expected to hit theaters on September 18, 2026. 🎬🍿
