Last week we were excited to join BMBFA's 2025 Motown Experience: Birth & Breastfeeding Conference for three unforgettable days of celebration, learning, and action.

One of the most moving parts of the experience was hitting the road together seeing, hearing, and learning from the organizations transforming birth and breastfeeding outcomes on the ground:

BMBFA — championing Black mothers, babies, and families through breastfeeding support and advocacy.
WINNetworkDetroit — connecting families with doulas, resources, and care that every parent deserves.
HithaHealingHouse — creating safe, healing spaces rooted in love, holistic care, and community.

We were honored to join the program with our presentation on Advocating for Black Birth Justice, lifting up voices, stories, and strategies to drive change. We left Detroit inspired and reminded that when communities lead, families thrive. And when we fight for Black Birth Justice, we fight for us all! #MotownExperience2025 #BirthJustice #BlackMaternalHealth #MaternalJustice

La semana pasada nos emocionó unirnos a la 2025 Motown Experience: Birth & Breastfeeding Conference de BMBFA para tres días inolvidables de celebración, aprendizaje y acción.
Uno de los momentos más conmovedores de la experiencia fue recorrer juntas el camino, viendo, escuchando y aprendiendo de las organizaciones que están transformando los resultados en nacimiento y lactancia desde sus comunidades:

✨ BMBFA — apoyando a madres, bebés y familias negras a través de la lactancia materna y la abogacía.
 ✨ WINNetworkDetroit — conectando a las familias con doulas, recursos y el cuidado que todo padre y madre merece.
 ✨ HithaHealingHouse — creando espacios seguros y de sanación, con raíces en el amor, el cuidado holístico y la comunidad.

Fue un honor participar en el programa con nuestra presentación sobre la Defensa de la Justicia en el Nacimiento Negro, elevando voces, historias y estrategias para impulsar el cambio. Nos fuimos de Detroit inspiradas y recordando que cuando las comunidades lideran, las familias prosperan. Y cuando luchamos por la Justicia en el Nacimiento Negro, ¡luchamos por todas y todos!
