About #22

🚀🥍 Meg Carney | #22 • New York Charging ⚡️

From McKinney, Texas ➡️ to Syracuse stardom ➡️ professional lacrosse league trailblazer 🎯

📍 Hometown & High School

Born and raised in McKinney, TX 🌵

Mckinney Lacrosse: ~288 goals, 104 assists, 96 ground balls across her high school career 🥅🔥

She was a multi-time All-State & US Girls All-American, a team captain, and known for her offensive firepower and leadership.

🎓 College – Syracuse University

Carney joined the Orange and made an immediate impact as an attacker.

Over her Syracuse career:

 • 4× All-American honors 💥

 • 3× All-ACC selections

 • Contributed to the Orange winning a share of the 2023 ACC regular season title

She led the team in key offensive categories and became one of Syracuse’s all-time leaders in goals and points.

🏅 International / Youth National Teams

Early on, Meg made an impact on the national stage: she was on Team USA U-19, helping secure gold medals, and represented the U.S. at major youth international tournaments.

💼 Pro & Coaching / WLL

In 2025, Meg Carney was named to the New York Charging roster for the inaugural season of the Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL).

Her joining the league illustrates her drive to push the women’s game forward and compete at the highest level.

Alongside playing, she also stepped into coaching: she’s been part of the Florida State women’s lacrosse coaching staff, adding further impact off the field.

With the Charging, she reunited with former Syracuse teammates (like Meaghan Tyrrell) — the “Meg Show” is back in action! 💥

Even in a hybrid “sixes / faster pace” format, she’s shown she can adapt, connect, slide, score, and defend.

✨ Fun / Extra Notes

On the Charging roster, she is listed at 5’5”, attack, jersey #22.

Her synergy with Meaghan Tyrrell and other Cuse alums adds extra chemistry on the field.

🏁 Still going strong, defining her own pro path, and inspiring the next generation of lacrosse players.
