Today’s Sermon: “He Fell Twice, But Still Scored”

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 24:16 — “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.”

Brothers and sisters, I come to you today with a word — not about perfection, but about perseverance.

See, there was a young man out there on that field — helmet tight, eyes wide, heart full of purpose. He had one goal: to reach that end zone of destiny. But life, oh life, it lined up on the other side of the ball. And when he took that handoff, whoo! the enemy hit him hard!

He fell once… crowd gasped.
He got up… stumbled backward… and fell again!

Now most folks would’ve stayed down. Most folks would’ve said, “That must not be my path. Maybe I’m not meant to lead.”

But this young man — this brother with a vision — he got back up.

Because see, when God puts purpose in your spirit, a stumble can’t stop it. A stumble can’t deter it. A fall can’t finish it.

He looked up at that goal line, grass in his face, pain in his chest, and said, “I didn’t come this far to stay on the turf!”

And he ran.
Not on strength alone, but on faith.
Not on speed, but on spirit.
Not because the field was clear, but because the mission was greater than the obstacle.

And when he crossed that goal line — bruised, battered, and breathless — victory wasn’t just on the scoreboard. It was written in his story.

Because sometimes God lets you fall twice just to show you how strong your third rise can be. 🙌🏾

So to anyone out there still crawling toward your breakthrough — to every leader who’s lost confidence, every dreamer who’s been knocked down — hear me when I say:

Your destiny doesn’t care how many times you fell.
It only cares that you got back up.

So when life tackles you, when the haters block you, when the pressure makes you stumble — just dust off, look to the heavens, and say…

“I’m still running for my purpose.” 🏈✨
