Legend of Zelda Sounds with Jacob Collier!
.
It’s an absolute joy to welcome the wizard himself Jacob Collier to the channel! This shoot was pure magic.
.
Creating sound effects involves a lot of play and childlike curiosity — you have to just try a bunch of stuff and see how it sounds! Jacob embodies this spirit perfectly. Once we figured out our moves, you can see the delight in our faces as it all locks in. What a feeling!
.
Jacob and I first bonded over our love of the Legend of Zelda games, so it was extra special to put this together.
.
Also, a truly heroic performance by Jacob playing piano and doing perfectly sync’d foley at the same time. Soaring drum comedy!
.
We recorded this at the very special electricgarden in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It’s such a beautiful, calming, colorful space. Huge shoutout to kanevibrations for helping produce this!
