A symbol of working-class resilience, Boyle Heights carries a deep history of resistance to gentrification, rooted in the Chicano arts and cultural movement. Home to one of the city’s most historic Mexican-American communities, the  neighborhood is currently enduring the trauma of ICE raids, yet continues to stand strong in resistance and pride.
