NEWS: The Devils have made the following roster moves to become in compliance to submit their 23-man Opening Night Roster to the league this evening, which can be viewed in its entirety on my previous post.

New Jersey has placed the following players on Injured Reserve:

- D Jonathan Kovacevic (knee surgery, retroactive to offseason)
- F Stefan Noesen (groin surgery, retroactive to offseason)
- F Marc McLaughlin (undisclosed, retroactive to 9/26)
- D Seamus Casey (lower-body, retroactive to 9/19)

All 4 players are eligible to return at any time.

F Brett Pesce, who suffered an undisclosed injury during last Thursday’s preseason game in New York City vs the Rangers, will not begin the season on injured reserve. He skated on his own this morning and is expected to return to practice Wednesday.
F Juho Lammikko, who suffered an undisclosed injury during practice last Thursday, also will not begin the season on injured reserve. However, Keefe said this past weekend will not be available in the near future so he could be added soon.

The club has not registered any contracts to those players who had been on PTOs (professional tryouts): F Luke Glendening, F Kevin Rooney and G Georgi Romanov.

• Glendening is in the process of signing a contract with the NHL club and will be added once completed. The corresponding move may be moving Lammkkko to IR.
• Rooney was not on the ice today at Devils practice as he is deciding his next steps for the future.
• Romanov reported to Utica and has been listed on the Comets Opening Night roster, signaling he has a PTO.
