Things I learned and wish I knew sooner🎧🤍

Being on a structured workout plan-

In the beginning my workouts were all over the place with random workouts I’d see online and putting them together making a less effective workout for that day, being on a structured plan helped me stay on course to my goals AND built a coherency in my routine

Progressive overloading-

There were many times I stayed at the same weight for several months without pushing myself and building bigger/stronger muscle fibers by progressive overloading. A lot of this came from simply not pushing myself and challenging myself each week

Eating a balanced diet-

I was a victim of the dirty bulk era, it’s okay we all go through it! But fueling our bodies after a great workout with empty calories and junk food was something I did for a while, yes I got bigger but my protein intake, fiber, and fruit intake was very very low. Once I started prioritizing my protein, carbs, and veggie/fruit intake I saw a huge difference in my progress

Hydrating-

Our bodies are made up of a large percent of water, I was reaching for a sugary drink over water many more times than I should’ve which caused a lot of gut health issues and bloating. Once I started drinking the right amount I needed to my overall health in and outside of the gym made such a positive difference

Drinking my protein and calories when needed-

This goes hand in hand with prioritizing my protein intake and completing my macros for the day with the extra calories I needed to get in but didn’t have time or didn’t want to eat another meal, this is a game changer especially for those that struggle with getting it all in during the day including myself!

What’s some tips that helped you?
