It's often referred to as the Festival of Colors and signifies the triumph of good over evil, and marks the beginning of Spring. It is celebrated by dressing in white clothing and throwing colorful gulal powder and water guns  balloons filled with colorful water on friends, family, and even strangers! ⁠
