"I was hospitalized with COVID in August and came home with a full recovery.  In September I started to experience some mild shedding and didn’t think much of it.  In October my hair started falling out in handfuls.  I couldn’t even put my fingers through my hair without shedding large amounts.  It felt traumatic.  I was so embarrassed and self-conscious. ⁠
