I realized that today marks the 1 year anniversary of this video, a day before hurricane milton. This week changed my life forever. 

I thought I might lose my animals, who feel like children to me and Rick, and the life we’d built together for years. 

I had no idea what would happen, but I couldn’t have imagined that it was the start of a new beginning.

Because we shared our crazy life, we found so many of you. And together we’re on a mission to help donkeys all around the world have the life they deserve—free of neglect and pain. 

Rick and I can never repay you for how you’ve supported us over the last year. But we promise it’s still just the beginning💛
