I was invited to get the first glimpse of Zao Asian Grill, and Meridian… you are going to love this one 🥢✨

Opening this week at villageatmeridian, zaoasiancafe is all about fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and simple choices that you can make completely your own. Almost everything is gluten friendly, and it’s super easy to eat vegan here too 🌿✨ 

They offer a build your own offering where you pick your base, your protein, your toppings, and finish it with their signature sauces. Think grilled chicken, spice rubbed steak, Thai spiced tofu, or slow braised pork layered over rice, noodles, or greens.

And this was extra special… I got to taste their brand new Kung Pao Chicken, the very first time it’s ever been released in any of their stores. Oh my word, it is so good 🔥🍗

They also offer flavorful soups where you choose your protein and toppings in a rich broth, crisp banh mi wraps loaded with fresh veggies, and even Asian tacos for a fun twist. You can pair everything with sides like potstickers, house made frescas, chips and guac, and a few sweet treats to finish.

My family LOVED IT! 

Official opening is on Saturday, but I have the insider scoop that they’re starting to serve food on Wednesday.
