National Guard expected in Memphis ‘next week or so,’ according to Mayor Paul Young.

The mayor says the Guard will serve as “eyes and ears” for law enforcement — not making arrests, but calling MPD when needed.

He also addressed ICE’s post about “targeting criminal illegal aliens,” saying the focus should stay on violent crime — not immigration status.
