From parades to ofrendas, there’s no better time to visit Mexico than Día de los Muertos 💛

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is one of Mexico’s most vibrant and meaningful traditions, celebrated each year from October 31 to November 2. Rooted in a blend of indigenous Aztec rituals and Catholic influences, it’s a time when families honor and welcome back the spirits of their loved ones who have passed away. Streets and cemeteries come alive with color as people build ofrendas (altars) decorated with marigolds, candles, sugar skulls, favorite foods, and photos of the departed. The atmosphere is joyful rather than somber — filled with music, parades, and gatherings that celebrate life, love, and memory.
