The emotions I’ve felt over the last 24 hours have wavered—utter shock, grief, righteous anger. This never should have happened. And yet… did we expect anything less? Scripture tells us that we will be hated for not being like the world. Jesus was rejected, mocked, beaten, and driven to death on the cross. To live a life that follows Christ’s example unapologetically, as Charlie Kirk did, invites persecution. At 19 years old, as a baby believer, I came up with the idea of Beat the Culture. I loved John 17 and the calling to live a very different life than the rest of the world for Christ’s name. What a high calling. I wanted to do that boldly. Charlie Kirk embodied such a calling for this life. He bore unimaginable fruit for God’s glory. Beat the Culture is still young in its growth—but the assassination of Charlie Kirk has burned into me a deeper conviction: we must rise with boldness and serve the Lord with even greater resolve. We cannot blend in. We cannot stay silent. We must live differently, proclaim truth without compromise, and stand unshaken with no fear. To live is Christ, and to die is gain. Just like Jesus. Just like Charlie. So we Beat the Culture. We stand apart from the world—and we do it boldly for God’s glory. With every year that passes, the weight of this calling only grows heavier. And today, it is undeniable. The need is urgent. We must Beat the Culture—and we must do it now. And yet, even as we move onward with zeal for Christ, we remember that this world is not our home—Charlie ran the race with endurance and is now face to face with his Savior. In that truth, we rejoice. But here on earth, we mourn. Let us pray for Erika and their two babies, that Christ’s comfort and the support of the church surround them in this loss. Thank you, Charlie, for inspiring us all to Beat the Culture and to live differently from the world. You were a beacon of light in a dark world, and believers must aspire to continue the race. Until we meet again 🤍 #livelikecharlie #beattheculture
