A Sun Country Airlines flight from the Twin Cities to Newark, NJ, was forced to divert after a passenger began ranting about the LGBTQ+ community.

The plane was diverted to Chicago, where the police arrived and arrested the passenger.

Another passenger on the plane said the man was acting erratically and was standing up and screaming in between playing games on his phone.

It's reported that the man was saying 'the plane is going down' and that he was being 'gang chased', 'radiated' and 'cooked' by the LGBTQ+ community.
He also blamed the LGBTQ+ community for his cancer diagnosis.

A Sun Country spokesperson said: “The flight landed without incident and the passenger in question was turned over to law enforcement and removed from the aircraft,” a statement said. “We appreciate our passengers’ patience during the interruption to their travels, and the flight is continuing on to Newark this morning.”
