This is a short excerpt from my not-just-a-cookbook, Homemade. I realized a few years ago that it was my job to translate so much more than letters, statements, and official looking documents. Given everything my parents have sacrificed, this is the least I can do.

My new book launches in a little over a week and it would mean so much if you could support my work by preordering a copy.
