Can you feel the electrifying energy of this Samulnori (사물놀이) performance? Samulnori is a Korean traditional percussion genre featuring four main instruments. How about the elegance of the traditional wrapping cloth, bojagi (보자기), in the next photo? 

The 2022 English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Orientation Training Program featured a Culture Day on February 12th, where ETAs were able to experience Korean culture more deeply through a host of activities. These included a bojagi (보자기) class led by @yeatelier.bojagi, a session on Korean history, and a Samulnori performance by the group 사물놀이미르. At their schools and during this upcoming ETA Spring Conference, the ETA grantees will be able to explore more of Korean culture and history! 

얼씨구! 좋다! 2022-23 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) 프로그램 수혜자로 선발된 풀브라이트 원어민 영어 보조교사(ETA)들에게 2월 12일은 한국 문화 체험으로 가득한 날이었습니다. ETA들은 함께 사물놀이 공연을 관람하고, 한국 역사에 대한 강의를 들으며, 보자기 원데이 클래스에도 참여했습니다. ETA들의 한국 문화에 대한 이해의 폭이 한층 넓어졌겠지요? 현재 전국 초/중/고등학교에서 학생들을 가르치고 있는 ETA들은 한국 문화를 더욱 깊이 알고 배울 수 있는 소중한 기회들을 매일 마주하고 있습니다. 한국과 미국의 가교 역할을 담당하고 있는 ETA의 활동을 응원합니다!
