Here’s a bore that’s far from boring…. A huge tidal bore. Qiantang’s tidal bores have amazed the Chinese for centuries.⁣
⁣
The tidal bores have attracted tens of thousands of tourists from all over the country to east China’s Hangzhou City. ⁣
⁣
The bores are a natural phenomenon caused by the gravitational pull from the Moon. For centuries, the tide bores were known as a “marvellous spectacle” standing as a vivid testament to nature's untamable power. The best viewing time is around the Mid-Autumn Festival every year. ⁣
⁣
Today, new ways of viewing have become popular, such as chasing the tides on a boat, viewing from the air with a drone, or simply sitting at home watching the livestream. But some people still like to risk getting wet….⁣
