Last week, we were thrilled to welcome Felipe Ortiz — an internationally recognized muralist — to our new Nancy L. Donahue Learning Lab!

Felipe shared his incredible journey as an artist, walked students through his vibrant portfolio, and offered an inside look at what it’s like to create murals across the world 🌍.

𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: Felipe’s work can be seen all over Lowell — including two Art Up Lowell murals (“The Bee” at UML’s University Crossing and “Splash Pollinators Two” at the Stoklosa School). He’s also the creative mind behind the stunning mural right here in our ✨𝐍𝐄𝐖✨Project Learn space — the perfect backdrop for this inspiring visit! 🎨✨

We’re so grateful to Felipe for spending the afternoon with our students and sparking creativity, curiosity, and conversation about how art connects community, culture, and education.
