🫧 Evidemment depuis l’ISS, on n’y voit pas les fameuses “bulles” téléphériques qui relient le centre-ville de Grenoble à la colline de la Bastille mais en revanche on 🔎 distingue très bien l’esrf_synchrotron (L'European Synchrotron Radiation Facility 👨🏻‍🔬, en français « Installation européenne de rayonnement synchrotron ») : le gros anneau blanc niché entre le Drac et l’Isère. Un synchrotron est un accélérateur de particules ✨ utilisé pour étudier la structure de la matière à l'échelle atomique et moléculaire. Il accélère des particules ⚛️, généralement des électrons, à des vitesses proches de celle de la lumière dans un anneau circulaire sous vide. Les applications sont nombreuses, notamment pour l'imagerie médicale 🩻, l'analyse de matériaux ⛓, la recherche en biologie structurale 🧬, la nanotechnologie, etc. Ah et aussi : c’est la porte des Alpes ⛰!!
