Ici, ce sont les humains qui s’adaptent à la géographie : l’Île du Lion 🦁 est le point d’accostage de l’Astrolabe 🚢, le brise-glace opéré par la Marine nationale, qui transporte le fret et les passagers vers l’Antarctique ❄️ depuis Hobart en Tasmanie 🇦🇺. Basé à La Réunion 🇷🇪, il contribue aussi à la défense maritime du territoire dans les eaux souveraines françaises, en luttant entre autres contre la pêche illégale 🎣. Un beau navire dont le rouge tranche avec le blanc de la banquise !
