🇦🇶 Bienvenue au dôme C, à plus de 1000km de la côte (ça commence à faire vraiment loin 😅). 

La station Concordia, prouesse de logistique, accueille 60 personnes l’été, quand il y fait jour 24h/24☀️, et seulement 12 l’hiver pour la maintenir en configuration pendant la nuit permanente de l’Antarctique. 

Techniciens, glaciologues, mécaniciens, plombiers, sismologues, cuisiniers, menuisiers, électriciens, astronomes, medecin et infirmière français 🇫🇷ou italiens 🇮🇹 s’y côtoient dans une coopération du bout du monde qui fait plaisir à voir (et qui rappelle quelquechose…).

1000km from my first step on the continent 😮‍💨, we’ve arrived to our final destination: perched on what’s called Dome C, at 3200m above sea level, in an extreme environement, stands a feat of engineering, logistics, research and cooperation (rings a bell? ;)🚀🛰️). The Concordia station is home to 60ish technicians, researchers and support personnel in summer (daylight 24/7☀️), the number shrinks to 12 during the long and dark Antarctic winter ❄️🥶.
