Fresh data just in from space! 🛰️

Swipe left to explore the first results from the Microwave Sounder and Radio Occultation Sounder onboard @eumetsatmedia’s MetOp-SG-A1 satellite.

The Microwave Sounder delivers detailed temperature and humidity profiles.

The Radio Occultation Sounder provides atmospheric data from the troposphere and stratosphere all the way up to the ionosphere.

Why does it matter?
Accurate weather forecasts are vital, not just for early warnings of extreme events that protect lives and communities, but also for agriculture, transport, energy management, and climate adaptation.

This marks a new era in European weather forecasting, with sharper tools to track our fast-changing climate.
